SALTS could not exist without members--you collectively form the legal entity that allows us to operate as a Non-Profit Society in BC. Memberships in our Society are available to individuals, families, and companies who are passionate about our mission:

to develop the spiritual, relational, and physical potential of young people through sail training, shipboard life, and associated activities in a Christian environment.

Though members receive a discount on day sail participation, it costs more to take out a membership and go on a discounted day sail than it does to just go on a day sail. This is intentional so that membership is always out of altruistic motives.

Memberships Types:

Membership dues are paid each year for the calendar year and are partially (50%) tax-deductible. A tax receipt will be issued for the membership fee  less the value of the day sail discount that is available to members (whether or not the discount is used, as required by the Canada Revenue Agency). New membership fees paid before Sept. 15 in a given year will result in a membership expiry date of Dec. 31 that same year. New membership fees paid after Sept. 15 will result in a membership expiry date of Dec. 31 the following year.
