Bursary sailing with Power to Be Adventure TherapySALTS is currently seeking donations to our operating fund to help us cover the cost of:

1. Annual bursaries for 100 young people with financial difficulties, youth from abusive homes or considered "at risk", childhood cancer patients/survivors, recent immigrants, and young people with cognitive disabilities.  $40K annually

2. Annual ship maintenance: $170K is needed annually

3. General operations: For use where we need it most

4. New ship construction--major gifts
We are also interested in speaking with foundations, corporations, or private donors who have the ability to make a contribution of $50K or more to our capital campaign to build a new tall ship in Victoria. We will seek smaller donations to this special project at a later date in the campaign. To discuss major gifts of this magnitude, please contact Loren Hagerty at 888.383.6811 or director[at]salts[dot]ca.

I felt I grew in many ways. I now realize what the real beauties in the world are, not just the superficial stuff I grow up with. I realize that I don't need so much materialized stuff to be happy; happiness comes within the people you're with and what you’re experiencing. I try not to judge people immediately, and am more open to trying new things. I also feel more open to showing people who I really am and not wearing a mask to hide.
