Donate Funds
Every dollar helps! Donations enable us to cover the capital cost of our tall ships, and provide bursary assistance for young people with financial needs or other challenging life situations. The goal is to enable all young people to participate in our programs, regardless of their financial limitations. In 2009, our bursary fund of $55,000 enabled:- A four-day sailing for more than 20 young people chosen by the Cridge Centre for the Family; These are kids who have had to face adversity in their young lives, and who can rise above their wounds and challenges with some nurture and opportunity, to have the chance to really shine. We fill fund a similar trip for another youth agency in spring 2010!
- $25,000 for summer program bursaries to individuals from low income households
- Four sailings (one day each) for a local school that could not afford to sail, as well as local youth groups

| I felt I grew in many ways. I now realize what the real beauties in the world are, not just the superficial stuff I grow up with. I realize that I don't need so much materialized stuff to be happy; happiness comes within the people you're with and what you’re experiencing. I try not to judge people immediately, and am more open to trying new things. I also feel more open to showing people who I really am and not wearing a mask to hide. |
