Crew Training Voyage
After spending almost all of the past 19 months tied to the dock, we are thrilled that the Pacific Grace is heading out to sea today! From May 30 to June 30, SALTS is conducting a training voyage for our professional crew members. The schooner will depart Victoria’s harbour, sail up the inside passage, and return to Victoria via the west coast of Vancouver Island. Rigorous COVID-mitigation protocols are being followed including pre-trip self-isolation, vaccinations, and negative COVID tests in order to create a safe COVID-free bubble. The crew will also avoid populated areas such as municipalities as much as possible during the voyage. If you see us sail past, we would love to wave from a distance!
